The $1B carve out of the country’s largest provider of Landscape Products to trade presented an outstanding opportunity to develop a corporate infrastructure, allowing the company position an IPO successfully in 2016. Over a 12-month period, our firm took a leading role in supporting management as they recruited leads to Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Pricing, Real Estate, and M&A. In May of 2016, an IPO was launched and investment was realized. At IPO trading multiple (EV/EBITDA) was 9X. It is currently trading at 16X.

A $700M portfolio company, one of the world’s largest providers of Life Sciences services, was presented with a challenge: Establish a corporate headquarters and organize the efforts of 45 locations in 25 countries. Partnering with management, our firm led the recruiting effort, working closely with internal Human Resources and the community. Over a 12-month period, our firm assisted in the recruitment for the CFO, CMO, General Counsel, Corporate Controller, FP&A lead, and the Procurement lead. (current investment)

$400M portfolio company: frozen baked goods

A $400M portfolio company, one of the largest providers of frozen baked goods, had a difficult decision to make. Accept the $210MM offer from a strategic buyer, or pursue their growth strategy by investing in talent that would support a larger exit. Our firm recruited the CFO, with responsibility for finance, supply chain, and IT. Within 18 months after hire, the same strategic buyer came back to the table with a 520MM offer. Over nine months, our firm recruited the Vice Presidents of Operations and Sales/Marketing, as well as a division Vice President. The company created a desirable and attractive position in the energy markets, executing solidly on the company strategy, leading to a sale 15 months after hire.
